Guanaqueros & Fray Jorge National Park

One of the main attractions of the Coquimbo Region is the Fray Jorge National Park. A visit to this sub-tropical forest will become an unforgettable experience, not only for it's semi-desert location but also for it's flora and fauna existing in the area. One of the most distinguished flora is the olivillo, an evergreen tree, which is a native species of Chile and the key component of the captivating forest. This magnificent park has been declared an UNESCO Biosphere reserve since 1977.

Soon we will make a tour through the beautiful and unique beaches. First we will visit Tongoy, a fishing village located about 60 kilometers south of La Serena, where we will find places of recreation such as restaurants, hotels, camping area and our very own caleta which is an ideal place to practice sports such as swimming, windsurfing, surfing, sailing, diving and fishing.

The second beach that we will get to know is the Guanaqueros Beach, which has 17 kilometers of fine sands and calm waters, perfect conditions to engage in nautical sports. In the Guanaqueros Bay, there are dozens of recreational centers and homes for recreational tourism. Guanaqueros is also an excellent tourist place that captivates its visitors for its lovely cuisines based on fish and seafood.
